Strategic Planning

As a consultant, I can help you identify your strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities. In partnership with your key leaders and stakeholders, I can guide the discussion to help you make decisions about new directions, goals, strategies, and resource allocation that can be critical to your organization's stability and growth.
Facilitation
Bringing in a neutral facilitator can help your group use its time more effectively, particularly when you want to strengthen your team-work skills, solve a problem, or bring together diverse people and ideas towards a common good. My philosophy of facilitation is to create an inclusive environment for your group that allows different voices to be heard but strives towards a productive meeting for the majority. I can help you design an effective agenda to meet your goals and strategies to keep you on track. As a facilitator, I will not only keep your group focused, but I will demonstrate techniques that members of your team can use for future meetings. For board and staff retreats, I can supply ideas and activities so that attendees can get to know each other better, address the issues at hand, and have fun!
Visible Conversations
Recording the meeting on chart paper can enhance your group's participation and creative thinking during planning meetings and retreats. In its very simplest form, Visible Conversations can provide your meeting with a collective memory of what was discussed. The addition of simple images and graphic displays can provide focus and flow to a meeting: allowing a group to see connections between ideas; create group meaning and metaphors; and provide structure for future meetings. At the end of the meeting, your group members will not only have a record of what they discussed, but also images and stories to carry the spirit of the meeting into their daily work and future planning.
Program Management
As a consultant, I can provide the help you need to design and launch a new program or project for your organization. Project management can include gathering input from key constituents, convening planning meetings, and creating action plans to meet your goals.
Executive Transition Management
A Board of Directors and Staff often need additional support and guidance through the search for a new executive leader of an organization. As an Interim Executive Director, I can offer stability for the administration of an organization and support for the Board of Directors through the search process. As a consultant, I can work with the Board to determine the goals for and qualities of the organization's next leader and to design the transition plan that will support the new executive's success.
